Eden Global Missions in Ndelele, 2020

Ndelélé, a remote community in the Kadey division of the East Region of Cameroon, was host to a health campaign on Saturday, December 12, 2020. This campaign was a medical mission organized by EDEN GLOBAL MISSIONS. The main objective of this campaign was to provide free consultations, free drugs, minor surgical procedures, and equally to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to the inhabitants of Ndelélé.

After travelling close to 200km of untarred, dusty, and bumpy roads, the medical team arrived Ndelélé on Friday, December 11, 2020 at around 8pm. Members of this team were warmly received by the pastoral family of the Full Gospel Mission church of Ndelélé; spiritual partners of the project. A meal was shared, followed by a moment of worship and prayers.

Saturday morning was filled with excitement and joy, given that it was the accomplishment of several weeks of preparation. After a devotion and breakfast that morning, the missionary team led by Dr. George Ashu (Founder and Executive Director of Eden Global Missions) held a briefing meeting to revise the protocol set up for the campaign. This included triage of patients, medical consultations, evangelism, and prayers.

The venue of the medical mission was the market square of Ndelélé. Chairs and tables were set by the men, women, and youths of the Full Gospel Mission, under the watchful and participative leadership of Pastor Frederick.

At 11am, all was set! Available patients were made to sit and immediately informed on how the campaign will unfold. This followed a brief presentation of EDEN GLOBAL MISSIONS by Dr. George. The campaign proper could then begin. Patients were seen by the medical team and the team in charge of evangelism and prayers till about 7pm.

A total of about 110 patients were registered during the medical missions at Ndelélé. Three cases of minor surgeries were recorded, including a lipoma surgery. All patients had the gospel presented to them and were prayed for. A total of 18 persons accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Many more confessed a rededication to serving the Lord.

More so, medical students present during this campaign attested to have learnt in the course of the campaign and surgery.

After this exciting mission, the team had a debriefing session and retired to the pastor’s residence for refreshing. Many more testimonies were shared this evening and the entire team observed a moment of worship before going to bed.

Sunday at 9am was the debut of church service at Ndelélé. EDEN GLOBAL MISSIONS team had purposed to fellowship at the Full Gospel Mission church. The team was allowed to share the word during this thanksgiving service. The philanthropic driven organization did not fail dropping a seed (an offering) for church projects. Further, a donation of drugs worth about 50.000 FCFA was made to a church member who dealt with medications at Ndelélé but had none left. The missionary team was in turn blessed with prayers, foodstuff, and an offering. At the end of the church service, the pastor confessed that the membership that Sunday had at least quadrupled, and everyone wished EDEN GLOBAL MISSIONS could stay more.

After closing remarks and plenty of emotions, EDEN GLOBAL MISSIONS left Ndelélé on a satisfactory note, by 3pm that Sunday.

This experience was engaging and full of God’s glory. We are grateful to God for using us and making this mission special. We are also indebted to all friends and partners of EDEN GLOBAL MISSIONS, whose prayers and contributions went a long way in making Ndelélé, 2020 a success.

Conclusively, we believe much more is to be done in remote areas in Cameroon and all over the world. This cause is noble! You could be part of it by your prayers and contributions. God bless you.
